For nearly two centuries, scientists have puzzled over how plesiosaurs — a marine reptile that lived during the time of dinosaurs — propelled themselves through the water. Using computer simulations, scientists have simulated the plesiosaur swimming technique, and it’s remarkably similar to how penguins do it.
