Parents know the horror of finding their two-year old with an iPad. One wrong move and your tablet will hit the floor and your toddler will run away. That’s why there’s VINCI Tab, a tablet for the wee little ones.
VINCI Tab is made to stand abuse. It’s designed with tempered glass, similar to your automobile windows, and soft edges that are perfect for holding, dropping, or chewing. The device also lacks WiFi or 3G which is a blessing. You’d be surprised at how easy kids can launch a browser or find YouTube without any help.
Hardware-wise, the tablet includes a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU, 512MB of RAM, 7-inch 800×480 touchscreen display and Android 2.3. It also has a camera and microphone which can be used to record you accidentally in the most inopportune moments.
The base model of the VINCI Tab will be available in early August for just under $US400. [VINCI via GizMag]
