TMZ Wants Drones Now Too

TMZ Wants Drones Now Too

We, as private citizens, are screwed. The government has a whole terrifying fleet of drones. But now TMZ wants its own army of robotic paparazzo in the sky. Someone, President Obama, Matt Damon as Jason Bourne, anyone, please help!

Because of a new law that’s opened up US skies to thousands of more drones, lots of unlikely organisations are hitting US aviation authorities with requests for flying robots. Among them are universities, police departments and private corporations. Probably your mother too, as she suspects you’re not getting enough sleep and probably staying out too late.

Paparazzi have apparently already used small drones to catch celebs in action hopefully topless along the French Riviera, but this tactic hasn’t yet been used in our own country. And that makes TMZ undoubtedly the worst group to ask for drone permission. Please, FAA, think of all the famous children. [MySanAntonio.com via Gothamist]
