It’s that time of year where you have to start gifting, and you’ll find yourself faced with all sorts of deep, important questions. Here’s one to get you started: Is it tacky to give an app store gift card as a gift?
On the one hand, it’s incredibly impersonal. All you have to do is know the correct app store and other than that it’s basically cash. On the other hand, it’s can be quite useful, because just like cash, you can spend it on whatever you want. I certainly wouldn’t mind getting some free app store money for the holidays, but I might be a little miffed depending on who it was from. So what’s your take? Tacky or no?
