Jawbone Finally Releases Android App For UP

It certainly didn’t happen as quickly as some would have liked ,but Jawbone is finally releasing an Android app to accompany its UP band. If you’ve been itching to try the UP activity tracker but don’t have an iOS device to actually use the thing, well, now you can.

The following devices, released in Australia, are currently supported:

  • LG Nexus 4
  • Samsung Galaxy Nexus
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 2
  • Samsung Galaxy S II Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy S III
  • Sony Xperia S

According to Jawbone, this isn’t a definitive list. It says that other devices running Android ICS or higher could work, but those haven’t been verified. Oddly enough, the Nexus 4 isn’t a supported device in the US, but it is on the list of verified devices for the EU, UK, Middle East and Australia. [Google Play]
