Acer has just announced a new pair of computers that offer Windows 10 within a thin-and-light laptop case — and they start at just $US170.
The Aspire One Cloudbook comes in 11 and 14 variants, which refer to their respective screen sizes. They both feature 1.6GHz Celeron processors, 2GB of RAM, and full-size keyboards, along with USB, HDMI and SD card slots. Both are 17.9mm thick. Their batteries last between 6-7 hours, and they come with a free year-long subscriptions to both Office 365 Personal and 1TB of OneDrive space.
The downside? The 11-inch model is available with just 16GB or 32GB of storage, while the 14-inch model comes equipped with either 32GB or 64GB. On the plus side, these devices come cheap. The 11-inch version, available later this month, starts at $US170. Its larger sibling starts life at $US200 and will be available in September.
Neither of the computers will be suitable for heavy users, but if all you need is a Windows 10 laptop to send some email, surf the web or write your essays, they could be just the ticket.
