Video: After meeting with misadventure, a space probe from the Voyager mission crashes back to Earth, centuries after it left. But Earth is a very different place now, and there’s only one person around to witness the Golden Record’s message.
Loïc Magar and Roman Veiga wrote and directed Voyager, which combines stop-motion with computer-generated animation, making Voyager look even more like an appealing relic of the past in this decaying future.
This won’t be the narrative of the real voyager probes, which are currently on the Voyager Interstellar Mission, but this film provides an interesting idea: That the Golden Record’s message might be received by someone who isn’t separated from modern humanity by space, but by time.
