How does Batman stay relatable to the teens in Gotham? He probably rides around on this impressive Batmobile Tumbler electric skateboard that hacker James Bruton built from scratch. It allows the rider to steer by simply leaning their body from side to side, while a handheld remote handles acceleration and braking.
As self-propelled skateboards go it’s an awesome creation. But compared to Batmobiles? Where’s the pop-up machine guns, retractable armour, and rocket-assisted jump capabilities I’ve come to expect from Batman’s toys? If I’m going to break my leg on a Batman-themed skateboard, I want it to be while attempting an over-the-top Hollywood-esque stunt.
