Can you say Legion of Doom sitcom?
That’s the dream of a few of The CW’s supervillain actors, who have, according to Reverse-Flash actor Matt Letscher, been pitching the idea to TV execs for a while. In the Arrowverse, the Legion of Doom consisted of villains from The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow teaming up to cause chaos and be very entertaining in the process.
“It was a lot of fun,” said Letscher, talking to Discussing Film. “I had a great time with those guys. And you can tell they’re having fun, too. It’s definitely one of those sets that was really easy to work on, everybody was such a pro. We pitched – multiple times – we pitched an half-hour sitcom version of the Legion of Doom to the powers that be at CW and nobody’s bitten yet, but I still think there’s a possibility.”
I, for one, am on board. Any show with a spotlight for Wenworth Miller’s Captain Cold is worth watching, and a show with a sillier, more charming take on DC villains would absolutely be welcome, if only as a counterpoint to the possible Snyderized Legion of Doom coming to the DCEU at some indeterminate point in the future.
So what do you say, CW? How’s about we get the gang back together?
