Elon Wants People To Bang In Teslas

Elon Musk has made no secret of wanting to make Teslas the most fun cars you’ll ever drive.

As we demonstrated recently, one of the ways the brand has done this is by allowing you to changing the indicator to a fart sound. Because sure, why not?

But it doesn’t stop there. Elon clearly knows that such a sleek, spacious vehicle may put people in the mood to get busy. And Teslas can help set the mood.

If you delve into the various sections settings of a Tesla you’ll find a tonne of hidden goodies. Some add comfort, convenience and practicality to the luxury EV. Others make you wonder what kind of cooked unit even thought to put something like this into a car. And then you remember it’s Elon. Case in point, Tesla’s new ‘Emissions Testing’ functionality. Yeah, it’s a fart app.”]

Yeah, Teslas have a Romance Mode. Much like the fart app, it’s buried in the Toy Box section of the giant touch screen.

It can be identified by the cute little fire that has love hearts for embers.

Clicking on this converts the entire screen into a roaring fireplace. If you gently tap on the screen again you’ll be greeted by the dulcet tones of one of the random songs that grace the dedicated Romance Playlist.

Oh boy I’m getting hot and bothered just thinking about it.

But don’t take my word for it, see this bad boy in action right here:

But don’t worry, safety is still at the forefront of Tesla’s mind. Romance Mode won’t activate if the car is in motion.

So no, you can’t go set the thing to autopilot and go out in a sexy blaze of glory with the digital fire roaring and Marvin Gaye blasting through the speakers. Not that I’ve ever thought about that…
