Paola Antonelli stopped by the Colbert Report earlier this week to talk about Applied Design, an exhibition currently running at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, where she is senior curator of the Design and Architecture department. In case you missed it, she has some great insight on the future.
Antonelli shows off a couple of the pieces like a vase made by bees and an earthquake-proof desk. They’re featured the current exhibit, which covers everything from video games to bioengineering to furniture. The point is that design is so many different things, spanning from chairs to interfaces to nearly anything you can think of. It’s worth a watch and boils down some important ideas quite nicely.
