With revelations that the NSA pretty much has complete access to our online lives, there’s been a recent spike in public concern over surveillance. However, in the real world it’s hard to be upset about security cameras always staring down at you when they look like adorable woodland and jungle creatures. Awwww, there goes my privacy.
Created by Eleanor Trevisanutto for Italian design shop Parsons, the ‘animals‘ are simply whimsical aluminium shells made to cover standard security cameras. They’re not designed to hide the cameras, but more intended to make them seem less intimidating. It’s like going to Disneyland and being excited to see Mickey Mouse, when in reality there could be an obsessed stalker under that costume that won’t stop staring at you. [Parson via Taxi]
