Just in time for Halloween — 2015 — Hot Toys is capitalising on the success of the Sleepy Hollow TV series to resurrect Johnny Depp’s take on Ichabod Crane in the 1999 film of the same name. Standing 30cm tall the figure comes with more accessories and clothing than a character on Downton Abbey, and a likeness of Depp that’s eerily bang-on.
With 30 points of articulation the $US235 figure certainly delivers on the action, and in addition to eight swappable hands and an extra hair sculpt for using an included pair of goggles, Ichabod also comes with a tiny black satchel packed full of miniature forensic tools. And while the character never actually loses his head to the similarly-afflicted horseman, with a hacksaw you’re free to diverge from the classic story line and give Ichabod Crane whatever fate you so desire.
