‘Leaked’ Samsung Galaxy Note 9 S-Pen Looks Like A Banana

‘Leaked’ Samsung Galaxy Note 9 S-Pen Looks Like A Banana

Today in Samsung Leaks we present what may be the next S Pen, and it sure does have a colour.

Notable leaker Ice Universe are at it again with the first ‘real’ sighting of the next generation of S-Pens. While it doesn’t provide any new info on the device, it shows what it may look like.

This close up shot of what appears to be promotional material or perhaps packaging shows a yellow S Pen that looks like a cross between a banana and a primary school pencil.

To be fair, it could just be the light or even the quality of the camera that is being used. Especially considering the teaser video for Unpacked, which shows a goldish S-Pen.

But it also looks kind of yellow now that I’m studying it obsessively. I don’t know what to believe anymore.

Of course, it could also simply be a fake. But if this is real… it’s quite an interesting choice and we hope it’s more on the gold end of the yellow spectrum. And that there will be other options. Please.

The design itself is incredibly similar to the current generation of Note 8 S Pens, but without the obvious Samsung branding. Looking closely at the image, there could be some white writing there, but it’s incredibly hard to tell. This makes me quite skeptical about this ‘leak’. It could be a simple Photoshop job.

But while we’re looking at the image, it also seems to reveal that the Note 9 will have a dual camera setup at the rear, as well as a fingerprint scanner, USB-C charging and a blessed headphone jack. Not particularly surprising revelations, but we’ll take what we can get.

This latest ‘leak’ comes mere weeks after other S-Pen rumours — including bluetooth capabilities, a long-range self timer, music playback and other undisclosed upgrades.

There has also been talk that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will have a larger 4000mAh battery, but that it will have a maximum charging power of 10W.

As always, we likely won’t know anything for sure until Samsung’s Unpacked event on August 9 (most likely August 10 here in Australia). But we’ll keep our eyes on the rumour mill until then.
