Oppo continue to the be the gift that keeps on giving in the smartphone industry.
This time they’ve managed to release a smartphone with all the vibe of a high-end product but the retailing price of more basic number.
The phone equivalent of (big dick energy) (BDE) one could say and likely to give the Google Pixel a run for its money.

The release of the Reno Z gives Oppo their competitive mid-tier entry retailing with a $499 price tag compared to their monster Reno 5G, which will set you back $1,499.
It boasts a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with resolution on par with the 5G and weighs in at 186 grams, making it one of Oppo’s lighter entrants. It is essentially bezel-less but for some, the inclusion of a headphone jack, absent in the 10x Zoom and 5G models, might be enough to bring it over the line.

Camera-wise, this thing is fully-loaded. The front-facing camera offers 32 megapixels while the main camera functions with 48 megapixels and a 10x digital zoom. All of this is running on OPPO’s MTK MT6779V processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Michael Tran, Managing Director of OPPO Australia, said the Reno Z was all about making high-functioning tech more accessible in terms of cost.
“The Reno 5G and Reno 10x Zoom are transforming smartphone technology and raising consumer expectations of what’s possible in a device. The Reno Z provides Aussies with game-changing power and the most immersive audio-visual experience available, making it one of the best devices in its price bracket,” Tran said in the press release.

The Reno Z is available in Aurora Purple and Jet Black from all the usual retailers (JB HiFi, OfficeWorks and The Good Guys) from Thursday 11 July for $499.
